Dr. David Tellez
Ten years ago, Dr. David Tellez was a man with a unique vision.
A vision of a medical facility that not only treated people’s
ailments, but was a place that would serve as a beacon for service
and hope. Five years later, The Neighborhood Christian Clinic
opened its doors. In addition to competent medical care, Tellez
wanted a place to provide genuine caring in an openly spiritual
environment. He engaged the support of organizations such as
Scottsdale Bible Church, Neighborhood Ministries, Open Door
Fellowship and Saint Vincent de Paul. The original humble duplex
has since been replaced by a 5,600 square foot state-of-the-art
facility. Tellez’ clinic has helped more than 10,000 people
since its inception. The clinic enlists more than 170 volunteers,
60 physicians, and 1500 donors. Treating people with dignity is
the core component of Dr. Tellez’s vision. Tellez’ medical
facility is a place combining heart with medicine. And Tellez is
the big driving heart behind it all.
