David Frazer finds his joy in making a difference. For more than 40 years, he has helped build some of Arizona’s most respected programs through his volunteerism. He has devoted more than 35,000 hours to programs that fight bigotry and discrimination, encourage students to greatness, help fund medical research and promote the cultural arts. David has been a board member and volunteer for Anytown Arizona, Inc. and Anytown America, Inc. for a total of 40 years. Each summer, this program conducts life-altering camps for high school and pre-high school students. He has shown the same devotion to the Flinn Foundation. As a 39-year board member, he has helped set policy for the Flinn Scholars programs, art and cultural grants and the recent T-Gen and Bioscience coalition.
In total, he has served on 18 boards including the Phoenix Symphony Association, Jewish National Fund, St. Luke’s Hospital, Chamber Music Sedona, the Marshall Fund and Hillel at ASU. Those who know him describe his dedication to volunteerism as “relentless” and “very humbling”. According to David, “Serving the community and exploring new roles for myself has provided the right balance between my family, my profession and my numerous community projects. It has been an exciting life!
